Valentine's Day: Love, Bravery, and Inspiring Acts

Valentine's Day was not born as a commercial date. Its origin speaks of brave love, conscious decisions, and care for others in difficult times.
Tradition has it that Valentine was a Roman priest in the 3rd century, during the reign of Emperor Claudius II. At that time, the emperor forbade marriages because he believed that single men made better soldiers. But Valentine, convinced that loving and committing was a right and an act of courage, continued to perform weddings in secret.
After being discovered, he was imprisoned. During his captivity, tradition says that he restored the sight of his jailer Asterius' blind daughter, before being executed on February 14, 270. Loving, then, was more than a feeling: it was a conscious, brave, and generous act, even when life seemed impossible.
Today, that spirit lives on. Loving is not always easy. And sometimes, showing affection goes beyond a message or a quick gesture. Choosing a gift with intention, supporting small workshops, opting for handmade items and for people who fight every day for their dreams... is also an act of bravery.
When you choose a handcrafted piece of jewelry, you're not just giving something beautiful: you're giving time, care, history, and hope. You're giving conscious love, for the person you love... and for those of us who continue to work every day with passion to create.
This Valentine's Day, if you decide to join the masses, we invite you to do so against the current: by giving —or self-gifting— jewelry with soul, pieces born from an artisanal process, with patience and dedication. Because loving, like creating, is always an act of courage.
